Why is a relieving letter from the employer important after resignation?

A relieving letter from the employer is an official letter that is issued when an employee has finished his/her exit procedures from a company. It is a confirmation that the employee has been officially discharged from his/her job responsibilities. The document will be useful as a future employer will request it as proof of your work and conduct. An appropriate relieving letter from employer also helps to prevent confusion relating to the employee's final working day and the status of his/her job.
